The Story of the Naja The Moors first introduced this amulet called "The Hands of Fatima" to Spain when they invaded Spain. The Spaniards used it as a protection symbol and also protected humans from the "evil eye." When brought to America, the Native American Navajo used the symbol as the centerpiece of their "Squash Blossom" necklaces.
